'Ugh' Dress, Spring 2016

This piece is an exploration in alternative materials for Philadelphia University's Problem Solving class. Materials include muslin, pvc, faux flower petals, paper, Necco Wafers, coffee stirrers, trims, and craft foam. The collections silhouettes are inspired by the Mod movement in the 1960s, and the color story is borrowed from candies of the same era, specifically Pez. The iconography alludes to the current internet style trend, Seapunk, as well as the online feminist movement.
